We’ve talked about what keywords potential customers were using to find your business online, but did you know that the right keywords aren’t necessarily the most popular?
This seems like a no brainer right? Well it is... But it’s not always a good idea to use the most searched keywords.
Since a lot of people are searching for that keyword, every business related to it is going to be competing for the top spot on search engines – including big businesses with high domain authority.
So if you’re a small business with a growing website, it may be better to focus on niche keywords and bring a smaller, yet more specific group of potential customers in. This reduces your choice of potential customers, but gets you better results on search engines because you don’t have as much competition.
